The Beginning of Radju Lauretana ... a dream has come true 5th August 2007 The beginning of Radju Lauretana … a dream has come true. Live transmissions started on Sunday August the 5th at 7.30am. After a moment of prayer, Archpriest Frankie Bajada greeted all listeners with a small but significant speech. Then the Viva x-Xemx was aired together with the Antifona. You could see parishioners crying with joy when our wonderful antifona was heard on the waves for the very first time. Sunday 5th was an open day. People flocked to see the studio and the total set up. Everyone was stunned and a common word was: miracle, it’s a miracle. Yes! Our radio station is truly a miracle of love, sacrifice, determination, strong will, talent and enthusiasm. Donations poured in so much so that more than Lm1000 were collected in a couple of hours. Programs have started since last Monday, from early morning right through the night. Positive comments are overwhelming. Telephone calls, sms and e mails keep coming. It seems that all the villagers are tuned in together with a surprising number of emigrants, our beloved Ghajnselmizi. You are far away but always in our hearts! Radju Lauretana has constructed a solid bridge between you and us. This is just the beginning. The future is brighter! May Jesus and Our Lady of Loreto guide our Radju Lauretana.
