Monday 24th December starts with a bang at 8.15am. Gordon Mifsud and Anthony Josef Buttigieg will be hosting the breakfast show. Phyllis Portelli will interview young children at 2.00pm during her program Taghhom hija s-Saltna. A Christmas feature written by Chev Joe M Attard will be aired at 5.00pm. The procession of Baby Jesus organized by the Society of Christian Doctrine starts from Hamri Street at 6.00pm. Radju Lauretana, with the help of Maria Xerri and Roseann Buttigieg, will broadcast the whole procession. The Christmas program from the Parish Church follows. A special edition of the program Illejla Country starts at 8.00pm followed by another special edition of Noveseicinque Natale hosted by Gordon Mifsud and Frankie Cutajar. Lelio Spiteri will continue to entertain out listeners till 11.15pm when Christmas Prayers will be aired live from Ghajnsielem Parish Church. Listeners will be able to enjoy the Christmas Sermon delivered by Christian Dingli. The Midnight Mass follows.
Christmas Day marks yet another day full of special programs. The breakfast show will be hosted by Lelio Spiteri. The Christmas Mass will be transmitted at 10.00am. At noon there will be a live link with Vatican City. Pope Benedict XVI will recite the angelus and the Urbi et Orbi blessing. A Christmas Play acted by the Museum boys will be on air at 12.30pm. A special edition of Fommi Jxandar it-Tifhir Tieghek will follow. Il-Milied ta’ Scrooge is scheduled at 5.30pm, a Christmas Play written, directed and produced by Joe Zammit. The Christmas Festivities taking place at St Anthony’s Church will be aired at 6pm. Charles Portelli will end the day with a special edition of his musical program Muzika ta’ Zminijiet Ohra.
No program is to be missed. Radju Lauretana has promised high level programming and this promise has been kept with the help of a large number of volunteers who put their heart in all they do. |
